Fire map for Bijelo Polje and the surrounding area
The Bijelo Polje area follows the Lim valley, settlements along the main roads and forested mountain edges. Agricultural work and controlled burning can also produce a heat signal, so the map is a first check rather than final confirmation of a fire.
This page selects observations within approximately 30 km of the city centre. The map, counter and list are automatically limited to that area, so the local situation can be reviewed without searching through all of Montenegro.
How to read the map data
Red markers have a higher estimated likelihood, yellow markers need further checking and blue markers are less likely. The same location may appear more than once when different satellites record it or observations are made at different times.
Satellites do not watch every location continuously. Cloud, smoke and overpass timing can delay a new observation, so the absence of a marker does not rule out danger.
Source and limitations
Data comes from NASA FIRMS, the public active fire information system. Industry, hot surfaces and agricultural work can sometimes create a similar signal. Pozari.me is an information map, not an emergency alert system.
NASA satellites show places with unusually high heat. This may be a fire, but it can also be industrial or agricultural activity.
